Used 2100 ton per day air separation unit, built by Air Products & Chemicals. Commissioned in 1997 to produce pressured oxygen and nitrogen gas, and liquid nitrogen products from ambient Air. The processes includes Air Compressor and purification, liquefaction using expansion turbine refrigeration, separation of the liquid products by cryogenic distillation, storage of liquid nitrogen, and vaporization of oxygen and nitrogen to gases, followed by Compressor to meet gasifier, combustion turbine, acid plant, blanketing, and purging requirements. The plant is capable of producing 2,100 tons per day (TPD) of gaseous oxygen at a minimum purity of 95%, 6,000 TPD of gaseous nitrogen at a minimum purity of 98%, and 400 TPD of high-pressure gaseous nitrogen at a minimum purity of 99.99%.The guaranteed maximum utility consumption for the ASU is as follows: power 54,535 KW, cooling water flow 17,340 GPM, LP Steam flow 7,000 lbs/hr.
